Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Joyfully Read (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit joyfullyread.com (the “Site”), make a purchase, join a membership, submit a form, or make a donation. [If donations are received by a separate nonprofit entity, add: “Donations made through the Site are received by [Nonprofit legal name], a [state] nonprofit organization, which follows the practices described in this policy.”]
Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. When you place an order, create an account, join a membership, make a donation, or submit a form, we collect the information you enter. This may include your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and any details you include in a form or message.
Payment information. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors, including Stripe and CardPointe. We do not store your full credit card number on our Site. Your payment information is handled by these processors under their own privacy policies.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited. If you arrive at the Site through a link from an advertisement, email, or social media post, we may record information about that link, such as the campaign or source it came from, so we can understand how people find us.
Cookies. The Site uses cookies that are needed for it to function, such as keeping items in your shopping cart and keeping you signed in to your account. [If the site uses Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other tracking tools, list them here.]

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Joyfully Read, our customers, or others.

Before publishing, get answers to these from the client
- Children’s privacy is the item most worth getting right. If Joyfully Read’s programs collect any information from or about children, such as student names in tutor or enrollment forms, this section needs real content and possibly legal review. If all forms and accounts are for adults (parents, tutors, buyers), the section can simply say: “The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.”
- Tracking tools. If Google Analytics, a Meta Pixel, or anything similar is installed, list it in the Cookies section.
- Entity names and contact details. Fill in the legal names for the commercial and nonprofit sides, plus a mailing address and email.
To publish it in WordPress
- Go to Pages → Add New, title it “Privacy Policy,” paste the text, and publish it.
- Go to Settings → Privacy and select the new page as the Privacy Policy page.
- On that same screen, WordPress offers a policy guide with suggested text that WooCommerce and some other plugins contribute. It’s worth skimming for anything the draft above misses.
- Put the page’s URL into the Google Branding page and continue with the publish steps.
Since this is a new page on a live site, a Kinsta page cache clear after publishing is a good idea, so the URL loads when Google checks it.

I study Communication Disorders at BYU, served a mission in Sweden, and enjoy dirt biking. I love helping others excel at reading because I know that language creates empowerment, understanding, and opportunities. I can’t wait to help you or your child find the joy of reading!
I’m currently studying Elementary Education at BYU, and I absolutely love working with kids. I’m passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and confidence-boosting. One of my favorite parts of being a tutor at JoyFully Read!™ is watching children discover a genuine love for reading and writing. Helping students grow as learners—and seeing their excitement when things click—is what makes this work so meaningful to me!
